(May 3, 2008 - News Release) Governor Dave Heineman was joined by citizens in Scottsbluff for the announcement of two major Panhandle roads projects. The Governor was joined for the announcement by the Director of Roads, Congressman Smith, Senators Erdman and Harms, and several local key leaders.  Gov. Heineman said the federal government needs to be a full partner with states in addressing roads infrastructure funding. He says increasing the gas tax is not a viable solution in the long run.
