(January 15, 2008 - News Release ) Gov. Heineman delivered his fourth State of the State address to members of the Nebraska Legislature on Jan. 15, 2008. The Governor emphasized the need to plan for the future by continuing to build economic vitality throughout Nebraska.

 His proposals for the 2008 session include creating a new tier of incentives for businesses that create high-paying jobs, continuing to reduce the tax burden for Nebraskans by providing additional property tax relief, and maintaining a strong cash reserve fund for the state.
