Heineman Accepts (Nov. 25, 2008) Photo Gallery - Governor Dave Heineman continued a long standing tradition today when he accepted from the Nebraska Turkey Producers a NORBEST-NEBRASKA GROWN turkey in recognition of the upcoming holiday season. The Governor announced that he would donate the turkey to the People’s City Mission in Lincoln. Tom Thulin, Vice President of the Nebraska Turkey Federation, made the presentation to Governor Heineman, saying, “We would like to continue the tradition of presenting a turkey to the Governor to kick off the holiday season.”
