(Sept. 22, 2008) News Release - Governor Heineman present Governor's Excellence in Wellness Awards at the first annual award luncheon in Lincoln.  Gov. Heineman and Nebraska’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Joann Schaefer, recognized 38 Nebraska employers for successful efforts in promoting workplace wellness.

Nebraska businesses can apply for one of the Governor’s Excellence in Wellness Awards online. Application information is available on the state Web site, http://www.Nebraska.gov. Awards are presented annually. The program is a partnership of the Office of the Governor, the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, the Nebraska Sports Council, and WorkWell, Inc.
