(Sept. 10, 2008) - Gov. Dave Heineman invited Nebraskans getting started in farming or ranching to take advantage of the state’s expanded Beginning Farmer program, which includes a new agricultural personal property tax exemption. The Nebraska Department of Agriculture Director Greg Ibach and beginning farmer Hilary Maricle joined the Governor in Grand Island at Husker Harvest Days to promote the program.
