Governor Dave Heineman recognizes seven Nebraska high school seniors for their academic achievement in earning top scores of 36 on the ACT or a 2400 on the SAT college admissions exams. The five Nebraska students earning a top ACT score were among 497 students nationwide to receive a perfect score. They include: Augusto Alonso and Kevin Ducey, both of Creighton Preparatory School in Omaha; Alexander Churchill of Lincoln East High School; Brian DeVol of Bellevue East High School; and Kyle Huston of Omaha’s Millard North High School. This year, Tina Zheng of Lincoln East High School and Sarah Ferguson of Central High School in Omaha received top scores on their SAT exams. The Governor was joined by Fred Meyer, President of the State Board of Education, and regional representatives of the ACT and SAT. The recognition was held at Millard North High School in Omaha. |
