NDA Announce Dawes County Certified as Livestock Friendly

Gov. Dave Heineman announced the official designation of Dawes County as the fifth Livestock Friendly County in Nebraska under a state program coordinated by the Nebraska Department of Agriculture (NDA). Dawes County joins Morrill, Hitchcock, Webster and Keith counties as Livestock Friendly. The Governor made the announcement during the Young Farmers Barbeque lunch at the Dawes County Fairgrounds in Chadron. Governor Heineman was joined by Deputy Director of the NDA Neil Moseman, Rob Robertson of the Nebraska Farm Bureau Federation, and citizens of Dawes County.
