National D.E.A.R. Day is an activity that promotes reading together. Honored on Beverly Cleary's birthday, D.E.A.R. was founded to encourage families across the country to take 30 minutes out of our busy lives and read together. The First Lady read two books and she and the Governor answered some very imaginative questions from the students.
