Flags to Fly at Half-Staff to Honor Victims of Boston Marathon Bombings

(Lincoln, Neb.) Today, Gov. Dave Heineman, in accordance with the proclamation from President Barack Obama, announced all U.S. and Nebraska flags to be flown at half-staff in respect for the victims of the tragedy in Boston, Massachusetts.

“This senseless act of violence pulls at the heartstring of all of us,” said Gov. Dave Heineman. “As Nebraskans, we care deeply for our neighbors, friends and families that were at the Boston Marathon, who are part of the marathon and sports community, and we hope for the best for all affected throughout the world.”

Flags will be flown at half-staff until sunset, Saturday, April 20, 2013.
