Governor & Lt. Governor to Visit Nebraska Communities during State of the State Tour


(Lincoln, Neb.) Gov. Dave Heineman is scheduled to deliver the annual State of the State Address on Tuesday, Jan. 15 at 10:00 a.m. CT from the Legislative Chamber of the Nebraska State Capitol in Lincoln.

Following the address and the introduction of the Governor’s biennium budget recommendations, Gov. Heineman and Lt. Gov. Rick Sheehy will visit several communities across the state to highlight priorities that will be identified in the 2013 State of the State. The schedule is as follows. All times are Central Standard Time unless otherwise noted.

On Tuesday, Jan. 15, Gov. Heineman will speak at the following times and locations:

  • 10:30 a.m. – News Conference in Governor’s Hearing Room of State Capitol


  • 1:00 p.m. – Leo Johnson Conference Room of the North Platte Regional Airport Terminal, located at 5400 E. Lee Bird Dr. in North Platte
  • 2:15 p.m. – Otis Air Services located at the Kearney Regional Airport, 4985 Airport Rd. in Kearney


  • 3:30 p.m. – Grand Island Central Nebraska Airport Terminal, 3743 SkyPark Road in Grand Island
  • 4:45 p.m. – Norfolk Airport Services Bldg., Karl Stefan Airport, 4100 S. 13th St. in Norfolk


Lt. Gov. Sheehy will deliver remarks during the following times and locations:

Tuesday, Jan. 15th

  • 12:00 p.m. – Hastings Municipal Airport Terminal Bldg., 3300 West 12th St. in Hastings


  • 1:30 p.m.  – McCook Regional Airport Terminal, 1100 Airport Rd. in McCook
  • 2:10 p.m. MT - Western Nebraska Central Community College Aviation Campus, 11145 Rd. 16 in Sidney
  • 3:30 p.m. MT – Western Nebraska Regional Airport Terminal, 250023 Airport Terminal St. #10 in Scottsbluff


  • 4:45 p.m. MT – Alliance Municipal Airport Terminal, 5631 Sarpy Rd. in Alliance

Wednesday, Jan. 16th

  • 8:00 a.m. MT – Best Western West Hills Inn Conference Room, 1100 West 10th St. in Chadron


  • 11:45 a.m. – City Hall, 1615 1st Ave. in South Sioux City
  • 1:45 p.m. – Falls City Brenner Field Pilot Lounge, 3301 Business Pkwy North in Falls City


  • 3:00 p.m. – Beatrice Municipal Airport Lobby, 3301 North 6th St. in Beatrice

The Governor’s speech will be broadcast live on the NET2 television channel, on NET Radio, and will be streamed live online via NET’s Nebraska Capitol Live site. Video of the address will also be archived on the Governor’s website,
