Lt. Gov. Sheehy Named to National Lt. Governors Association Executive Committee

 

(Lincoln, Neb.) Lt. Gov. Rick Sheehy has been re-elected to serve on the Executive Committee of the National Lieutenant Governors Association (NLGA). He is one of three members selected to represent Midwestern states for the 2008-2009 year. He was first elected to the executive committee in 2007.

The selection was announced following the NLGA Annual Meeting held recently in Buffalo, N.Y. Lt. Gov. Sheehy was also re-appointed to serve on the organization’s finance committee.

The NLGA is a bipartisan organization helping foster interstate cooperation among Lt. Governors of the 50 states and five U.S. Territories. The Midwest region includes: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota, and Wisconsin.
