Gov. Heineman Nominates the Honorable Bernard McGinn
to the Commission of Industrial Relations

Lincoln, Neb.) Gov. Dave Heineman today nominated the Hon. Bernard J. McGinn of Lincoln to serve on the Commission of Industrial Relations.  Judge McGinn is a Retired District Judge and will replace David Cullan of Omaha, whose term has expired.

“Judge McGinn is eminently qualified to serve as a member of the Commission of Industrial Relations,” Gov. Heineman said.  “He has a reputation of bringing a common sense approach to his work, which together with his extensive legal expertise, makes him an excellent candidate.  I am requesting expedited consideration of this appointment by the Legislature.”

Judge McGinn began his judicial career in 1981 and served as a District Judge for Nebraska’s Third Judicial District until his retirement in 2005.  He earned his B.A. in 1965 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Law in 1969.  Judge McGinn has received numerous awards and recognition over the course of his 25 year judicial career.
