Gov. Heineman Orders Flags to Half-Staff in Honor
of U.S. Rep. Peter Hoagland
(Lincoln, NE) Gov. Dave Heineman today ordered that all U.S. and state flags in Nebraska be flown at half-staff on Saturday, Nov. 3, in honor of the life and service of U.S. Rep. Peter Hoagland, who passed away Tuesday in Washington.
Rep. Hoagland, 65, served Nebraska’s Second Congressional District, located primarily in the Omaha area.
“Congressman Peter Hoagland cared deeply about public service,” Gov.
Heineman said. “He was committed and dedicated to Nebraska and our country.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife and his family.” |
