Gov. Heineman’s Statement on the Passing
of Insurance Director Tim Wagner
(Lincoln, NE) Gov. Dave Heineman was notified late last evening that Tim Wagner, Director of the Nebraska Department of Insurance, passed away yesterday. Wagner had served as the director of the department since 1999. He was 65.
“I want to express my deepest condolences to Tim’s family and all those who’ve worked with him, both at the department of insurance and throughout the private sector,” Gov. Heineman said. “Tim was a good friend and we will certainly miss him. On behalf of Sally and my family, I send our most heartfelt sympathies to his family and friends.
“Tim was a great asset to the state of Nebraska. He was very professional when it came to the role he played in regulating the insurance industry, yet was very successful in helping recruit new business investment to our state. He worked tirelessly to position our state as an excellent place for insurance companies to do business and his many contributions will not be forgotten.”
Deputy Director Ann Frohman has been appointed to serve as Acting Director of the department. |
