Gov. Heineman Reminds Nebraskans to Fly Flags
at Half-Staff in Honor of Lady Bird Johnson

(Lincoln, NE) Gov. Dave Heineman today reminded Nebraskans to fly state and U.S. flags at half-staff to honor the passing of former first lady Lady Bird Johnson. President George W. Bush has called for flags to be flown at half-staff on the day of burial, Sunday, July 15.

Gov. Heineman said, “The thoughts and prayers of all Nebraskans are with the Johnson family and all those who will gather this weekend to celebrate the life of this women who did so much to encourage the protection and conservation of our natural resources.”

President Bush signed a proclamation yesterday calling for flags to be flown at half-staff.
