Gov. Heineman Authorizes Flags to Fly at
Half-Staff in Honor of Greenwood Soldier
(Lincoln, NE) Gov. Dave Heineman has authorized the communities of Ashland, Greenwood and Lincoln to fly state and U.S. flags at half-staff tomorrow, Saturday, July 7 in tribute to U.S. Army Cpl. Dustin Workman II of Greenwood.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow at the New Covenant Church in Lincoln, with burial following at the Ashland Cemetery. Lt. Governor Rick Sheehy will represent the state of Nebraska at the funeral.
The Governor’s Office works with mayors and local officials to ensure that flags are lowered in communities on the day of a funeral in honor of Nebraska servicemen and women killed while on active duty with the U.S. Armed Forces. |
