Gov. Heineman Congratulates State Wellness Plan Goal Achievers


(Lincoln, Neb.) Nov 3, 2009 - Gov. Dave Heineman today congratulated state employees who have reached the goal in the Walk This Way wellness program. Participants were challenged to meet or exceed 360,000 steps by March 31, 2010. To date, approximately 40 percent of enrolled employees have met or exceeded their distance goal, including Gov. Gov. Heineman Calls for Spending Reductions in Legislative Special Session

Dave Heineman today outlined his proposed budget adjustments for the upcoming special session to address an anticipated $334 million shortfall in state revenue during the 2009-2011 biennium. Gov.
