(Lincoln, Neb.) October 14, 2014 - Today, Gov. Dave Heineman touted Nebraska’s manufacturing industry on the 2014 Salute to Manufacturing Tour. The Governor was joined by Barry Kennedy, President of the Nebraska Chamber of Commerce and Industry and business leaders, manufacturing employees, and students to celebrate October as Nebraska Manufacturing Month at events in four locations. Gov. Heineman today also announced that the Intern Nebraska program has reached 750 actively employed interns.

(Lincoln, Neb.) October 9, 2014 - Today, Governor Dave Heineman met Boyd Bennett, 104, to help him complete his lifetime bucket list. Working with Bennett's family and care staff, Gov. Heineman surprised Bennett at The Meadows, a senior living facility in Norfolk. Bennett is believed to be one of Nebraska's oldest citizens.

This year marks the State of Nebraska's highest grossing campaign to date. More than 4,000 employees pledged $575,000 this year.
