Ann Frohman to Leave Post This Fall (Lincoln, Neb.) August 31, 2010 - Governor Dave Heineman today announced that Ann Frohman, Director of the Nebraska Department of Insurance (DOI), is planning to step down from the post she has held for nearly three years to pursue other opportunities in the private sector. She has been with the State of Nebraska for more than 20 years. Her resignation is effective Oct. 29.

Dave Heineman was joined by state leaders today in outlining how the state will utilize federal Education Jobs Funding passed earlier this month by Congress, noting that Governors have no choice whether to accept the money or not in a state. State officials emphasized that this funding will be considered part of a school district’s FY 2012 state aid.
