Eighteen Candidates Apply for
District 29 State Senator Seat

(Lincoln, NE) Gov. Dave Heineman has received 18 applications from individuals in Legislative District 29, which covers a significant portion of southeastern Lincoln in Lancaster County. The Governor will appoint a new state senator to replace Sen. Mike Foley, who is resigning his seat in the Legislature following his recent election to statewide office as State Auditor of Public Accounts.

Those applying to represent District 29 are Dorothy C. Anderson, Randal Bangert, John S. Berry Jr., Bede Bolin, Angelika Byorth, Janet Carnes, Donald DeRiese, Norman Dority, Ted Eschliman, Tony Fulton, Gus Lieske, Jerry M. Maxwell, Matthew Roque, Robert Rathjen, Suzanne Schreiber, Iris Winkelhake, Brent Wolzen, and Richard Standley, all of Lincoln.
